Welcoming Message by the Chairman

The Occupational Deafness Compensation Board is dedicated to protecting the well being of those employees who suffer from hearing loss due to noise at work.  Set up in June 1995, the Board was at first endowed with the mission to compensate those workers who suffered from hearing loss due to their employment.  Since then, the Board has undergone some exciting and significant developments.

Today, the Board is no longer only responsible for providing compensation to those persons suffering from occupational deafness.  In addition to this primary function, we have taken up two new areas of responsibilities, namely, prevention and rehabilitation.  With the best efforts of all those involved, the Board has committed to, and accomplished, furthering the protection and benefit of workers who suffer from hearing loss due to noise at work.  Caring for the well being of occupational sufferers is the key theme underpinning the future direction of the Board's work.

I invite you to visit our web site for updated information about the activities that we are going to launch from time to time.[What's New]
